Richard Jewson and Roland Perold formed a collaboration to provide entertainment onboard the MS Serenissima. Operated by Noble Caledonia, this intimate vessel provides exclusive expedition cruises for clientele who expect permanent silver-service. “Back to Yesterday” formed one segment of onboard entertainment offered by Richard and Roland. Roland’s musical talents combined with Richard’s informative and entertaining discourse on subjects such as cinema, theatre, literature and music (a well of useless information, says Richard) made them most congenial hosts.

The show took a nostalgic look into the past, asking: “What have we left behind?”. Like the Dodo, many commonplace items and customs have become extinct! Richard and Roland explored these with a light touch whilst entertaining with songs from the period such as: ‘As Time Goes By’, ‘I’m Old Fashioned’, ‘Begin the Beguine’ and many others. Rekindle fond memories… with a song in your heart.
